Alberts Hill Rd. South
Take I-84 to Exit 10.
Go south/west on Rt. 6/Church Hill Rd. (towards Newtown) for 0.6 mi.
Turn right on The Boulvard and follow it for 1.3 mi. under I-84, where it becomes Hanover Rd.
Continue straight on Hanover Rd. for 0.5 mi.
Turn right on Echo Valley Rd. and follow it for 0.7 mi.
Turn right on Alberts Hill Rd. and follow it for 0.3 mi.
There are two parking spaces on the right at the Newtown Forest Association "Mulliken" sign, and two more at the service gate opposite Valley Field Rd. North.

To hike north on the the Upper Paugussett segment, take a left out of the parking area on Alberts Hill Rd. and walk about an eighth mile to the larger parking area that is on the lake's edge. Take the trail at the rear of the parking area towards the lake.
To hike south on the McLaughlin Vineyards segment, take a right out of the parking area on Alberts Hill Rd. and walk about an eighth mile east under the power lines to the intersection with Valley Field Rd. North. Go left off of the road, around the gate, and then bear right just after entering the forest.
