Northern end of Echo Valley Rd. at Sanford Rd.

Directions: 

Take I-84 to Exit 10.
Go south/west on Rt. 6/Church Hill Rd. (towards Newtown) for 0.6 mi.
Turn right on The Boulvard and follow it for 1.3 mi. under I-84, where it becomes Hanover Rd.
Continue straight on Hanover Rd. for 0.5 mi.
Turn right on Echo Valley Rd. and follow it to the entrance to the Upper Paugussett State Forest.
Continue straight on the gravel road to the end.

Trailhead Access: 

Upper Paugussett Segment: Backtrack down gravel road to the barn on the right; find blue-blazed trail on the left side of the road, and follow it down to the lake. Turn left hike the Upper Paugussett segment and turn right to hike the McLaughlin Vineyards segment.

CFPA Blue-Blazed Lillinonah Trail (loop): The blue-blazed trail exits the parking lot to the west and then goes north parallel to Hanover Rd. It returns via the gravel road (see above).
